Child Day Care for 4-5 YEAR OLDS

• Teachers provide experiences that meet the children's needs and stimulate learning in all developmental areas including physical, social, emotional and intellectual.
  
• Activities are appropriately designed to recognize the different levels of ability and development for each child.
• Children will have the opportunity to initiate their own activities.
• Children will learn through interaction with teachers, active exploration, materials and other children.
• Activities are designed to develop children's self-esteem and positive feelings toward learning.
• Teachers will facilitate the children's learning by asking questions, adding more ideas or materials and by making suggestions.
• A computer center will offer a wide variety of activities and learning games to challenge the children.
• Children can choose many of their own activities from a variety of learning centers that the teachers will prepare. These centers will include creative art, writing & language development, math & science activities, games, manipulative, imaginative play, books and music.
• Children will use their large motor skills everyday as they play in both the indoor and outdoor play areas.
• A variety of art media will be available for the children to use their creative expression.
• Teachers will communicate with parents on a regular basis about their child's development.
• Artwork and experience stories created by the children will be displayed.
